Good quality, slight delay in shipping

The material quality is excellent and the machining tolerance was very tight. Only giving 4 stars because the custom processing took a few days longer than estimated.

Q: What is the maximum continuous operating temperature?

A: The MC oil-impregnated nylon can withstand continuous operating temperatures up to 120°C (248°F). Short-term exposure to slightly higher temperatures is possible but may reduce lifespan.

Q: Is this material food safe?

A: This specific oil-impregnated grade is designed for industrial mechanical applications and is not certified for direct food contact. Please contact us if you require FDA-compliant materials.

Q: Can you machine these into complex shapes or just straight tubes?

A: We offer full custom processing. While we stock straight solid and hollow rods, our CNC team can machine them into complex bushing shapes, flanges, or sliders based on your drawings.

Q: Do you provide tolerance charts for the custom hollow rods?

A: Yes, upon request, we can provide our standard machining tolerance chart. For critical non-standard dimensions, we recommend sending us your specific requirements for a feasibility review.

Q: How does the self-lubricating feature work over time?

A: The oil is impregnated throughout the material matrix. As the part operates and generates slight heat/friction, micro-amounts of oil are released to the surface, maintaining lubrication over the product's life.
