Clear audio evidence
Used this to keep a log of disturbances. The clarity of the structural noise is impressive. It distinguishes between footsteps and furniture dragging very well.

Works but cable is short
The device itself does what it says regarding vibration capture. However, the 2-meter cable wasn't quite long enough to reach my recording setup in the corner of the room. Had to buy an extension.

Essential for home recording peace of mind

Solid build quality

Good sensitivity, needs careful placement
The pickup is very sensitive, perhaps too much so. You have to experiment with where you stick it on the wall or ceiling to get the cleanest signal without ambient room noise. Once positioned right, it works great.

Finally found the source of the noise
I was losing sleep trying to figure out if the thumping was coming from above or next door. This device picked up the vibrations through the ceiling clearly when connected to my recorder. It helped me document the issue accurately.
Q: What software do I need to view the captured data?
A: Since this outputs a standard audio signal, you can use any audio recording or editing software such as Audacity, GarageBand, or Adobe Audition to view and analyze the waveforms.
Q: Can this pick up voices from the upstairs neighbors?
A: This device is designed primarily for structure-borne noise like footsteps, thumps, and vibrations. While it may pick up loud speech transmitted through walls, it is not optimized for airborne voice capture like a standard microphone.
Q: Does this device record audio directly to an SD card?
A: No, this is a sensor/capture device only. It must be connected to an external recorder, computer, or interface to store the audio data.
Q: Will this work with a smartphone?
A: It can work with smartphones that have a 3.5mm microphone input jack. If your phone only has a USB-C or Lightning port, you will need a compatible adapter to connect the device.
Q: Is the adhesive reusable if I need to move the device?
A: The adhesive pads are designed for single-use application for maximum hold. If you need to relocate the unit, we recommend purchasing replacement adhesive mounts or using the included magnetic clip on metal surfaces.
