Knobs feel a bit cheap

The wiring works fine and the pickup is decent, but the plastic knobs feel a little flimsy compared to metal ones. Still functional though.

Perfect for my cigar box build

A: The output jack is a separate component included in the box, allowing you to mount it wherever fits best on your instrument body.

Q: Does this kit include the pickup itself or just the knobs and wire?

A: Yes, this kit includes the three-string single coil pickup, two potentiometers (volume and tone), knobs, wire, and an output jack.

Q: What type of solder do you recommend for installation?

A: We recommend using standard rosin-core electronics solder (60/40 tin-lead or lead-free) with a temperature-controlled iron around 350°C.

Q: Can I use this on a standard 6-string guitar?

A: No, this pickup is specifically designed and spaced for three-string instruments like cigar box guitars. It will not cover all strings on a standard guitar.

Q: Does this produce a lot of background noise?

A: As a single-coil pickup, some minor hum is normal, especially near fluorescent lights or computers. However, it is shielded to minimize interference.
