Lovely piece, slightly smaller than expected
Beautiful item with great energy. The wood feels aged and authentic. I thought it would be a bit larger based on the photos, but it's still a perfect size for holding in the hand while thinking.

A stunning centerpiece
This is now the focal point of my study. The aged look of the Taihang cypress gives it so much character. Highly recommend for anyone who appreciates traditional wood carving.

Perfect gift for a collector
Bought this for my father who loves wooden crafts. He was thrilled with the quality. The sphere held by the Pixiu is smooth and rotates slightly, which is a nice touch.

Exquisite craftsmanship and beautiful grain
The detail on this Pixiu is incredible. You can tell it was carved by hand. The cypress wood has a wonderful texture and a very calming scent. It sits perfectly on my office desk.

Calming and elegant
The aroma of the cypress wood is very subtle but pleasant. It adds a touch of nature to my workspace. The carving is intricate without being fragile.

Good quality but color varies
The craftsmanship is solid, but the color of the wood was darker than shown in the product images. Since it's natural wood, I understand the variation, but just something to note.
Q: Does the sphere in the Pixiu's paw actually move?
A: Yes, the sphere is carved from the same block of wood and is designed to rotate slightly within the Pixiu's grasp, demonstrating the carver's skill.
Q: Can this be used as a paperweight?
A: While it has some weight, at approximately 65 grams, it is best suited as a decorative ornament or handheld object rather than a heavy-duty paperweight for thick stacks of paper.
Q: Is the wood treated with any chemicals or strong varnishes?
A: No, this piece is finished only with natural wax to preserve the authentic scent and texture of the aged cypress wood. No synthetic varnishes or chemical treatments are used.
Q: Is each piece unique in its grain pattern?
A: Absolutely. Since this is made from natural aged cypress wood, every single Pixiu will have a unique grain pattern and slight variations in color, making your piece one-of-a-kind.
Q: How should I clean this if it gets dusty?
A: We recommend gently wiping the surface with a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Please avoid using water, cleaning sprays, or abrasive materials to protect the wood's natural finish.
