Calming to hold
There is something very soothing about holding this piece. The wood warms up quickly in the hand, and the texture is flawless. No rough spots or splinters. Very satisfied with this purchase.

Beautiful grain and smooth finish
The wood feels incredibly smooth in the hand. The grain patterns are unique, and the carving details on the Pixiu are impressive for such a small piece. It has a nice weight to it without being heavy.

Perfect gift for collectors
Purchased this for my father who loves traditional carvings. He was thrilled with the quality. The velvet pouch included is a nice touch for storage. Highly recommend for anyone interested in wooden crafts.

Intricate details
The craftsmanship is excellent. You can see every scale and claw on the Pixiu. It's small enough to carry everywhere. I wish it came with a small cord if I wanted to hang it, but otherwise, it's great.

Great pocket companion
I bought this as a fidget item to keep in my pocket. The rounded edges make it perfect for rolling between fingers. The scent is very faint but pleasant. Only giving 4 stars because the color was slightly darker than the photos.

Authentic aged material
You can tell this is made from old material. The density of the wood is high, and it has developed a nice patina after just a few weeks of handling. A solid collectible for wood enthusiasts.
Q: Does the Pixiu have any loose parts that could break off?
A: No, the entire piece is carved from a single block of wood. All features are integral to the main body, making it durable for daily handling.
Q: How strong is the woody scent? Is it overpowering?
A: The scent is very subtle and natural, typical of aged wood. It is not overpowering and tends to fade further over time unless kept in a sealed container.
Q: Is this made from real Thuja wood or a composite?
A: This is carved from 100% natural, aged Thuja wood sourced from the Taihang region. There are no composites or fillers used.
Q: Can I attach a string to hang this as an ornament?
A: Yes, many customers drill a small pilot hole carefully at the top or use a strong adhesive loop to attach a cord for hanging. Please note drilling may affect the resale value for collectors.
Q: What is the best way to clean and maintain this carving?
A: Simply wipe it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using water, chemicals, or oils, as the natural patina develops best with dry handling over time.
