Calming to hold
I use this as a fidget object while working, and the smooth, aged wood is very calming. The grain patterns are unique and beautiful. It definitely adds a touch of elegance to my workspace.

Great quality, slightly smaller than expected
I love the texture and the weight of the wood. It fits comfortably in my palm. I thought it would be a bit larger based on the photos, but the quality makes up for the size. A nice addition to my collection.

Beautiful craftsmanship and soothing scent
The detail on this Pixiu is incredible. You can tell it was carved by hand. The wood feels very smooth and oily to the touch, and it has a lovely natural smell that isn't overpowering. It sits perfectly on my desk.

Nice item but color varies
The carving is good, but the color of my piece was lighter than the pictures shown online. I understand it's natural wood, so variation is expected, but just something to keep in mind. Still a decent purchase.

Exquisite detail
The scales on the Pixiu and the coin it holds are carved with such precision. The high-oil finish gives it a wonderful sheen without looking artificial. Very happy with this purchase.

Perfect gift for a colleague
Bought this as a housewarming gift. The packaging was secure, and the item arrived in perfect condition. The recipient loved the traditional design and the story behind the Pixiu. Highly recommend.
Q: Can I use oil to maintain the shine if it fades over time?
A: Yes, you can occasionally apply a tiny amount of natural wood oil (like tung oil) to maintain the luster, though the high-oil content of aged Thuja usually keeps it looking great for a long time with just dry wiping.
Q: Does this ornament come with a stand or display box?
A: The ornament comes in a protective gift box, but a separate display stand is not included. It is designed to sit flat on any surface.
Q: Is the wood treated with any chemicals or artificial scents?
A: No, the Thuja wood is natural and aged. The scent you smell is inherent to the wood itself, and no artificial fragrances or chemical treatments are used in the finishing process.
Q: Is each piece unique due to the wood grain?
A: Absolutely. Since each ornament is carved from a natural piece of Taihang Thuja wood, the grain patterns, color nuances, and minor texture variations make every single unit unique.
Q: What is the significance of the Pixiu holding wealth?
A: In traditional culture, the Pixiu is believed to attract wealth and guard against loss. The version holding a coin or ingot specifically symbolizes the accumulation and retention of fortune.
