A true work of art
The handcrafted details are visible upon close inspection. It is not just a cage but a genuine handheld ornament that sparks conversation whenever I carry it.

Excellent overwintering cage
My katydid has been thriving in this jar for weeks. The natural gourd material seems to regulate humidity well, and the resonance makes the singing sound incredibly clear.

Beautiful natural ornament
I bought this primarily as a decorative piece, but the craftsmanship is outstanding. The open-top design makes it easy to feed the insect, though you have to be careful not to tip it over.

Good but requires care
The product is authentic and sounds great, but since it is natural gourd, it requires gentle handling. Do not expect it to be as durable as plastic or glass.

Perfect acoustics for my cricket
The seven-star mouth design really amplifies the chirping beautifully. The gourd feels sturdy and well-cured, perfect for keeping my pet safe during the winter months.

Traditional quality
Reminds me of the traditional jars my grandfather used to keep. The seven-star pattern is subtle yet elegant, and the size is perfect for a single singing insect.
Q: Can this be used outdoors in the rain?
A: No, this is a handheld ornament intended for indoor use or protected outdoor areas. Exposure to rain or excessive moisture will damage the natural gourd.
Q: How do I clean the inside of the gourd?
A: We recommend gently wiping the interior with a dry, soft cloth. Avoid using water or chemicals as they can damage the natural gourd material and affect the scent.
Q: Is this jar suitable for multiple insects at once?
A: This jar is designed specifically for a single singing insect to ensure optimal acoustic resonance and prevent territorial conflicts between crickets or katydids.
Q: What is the approximate volume of this jar?
A: The internal volume is approximately 200ml, providing ample space for a standard adult cricket or katydid to move comfortably while maintaining sound quality.
Q: Does the open top mean the insect can escape easily?
A: The rim is designed to be narrow enough to deter most insects from climbing out easily, but we suggest placing it on a flat surface away from edges for safety.
