Solid drive, slightly bulky
Great storage capacity and very reliable. My only minor complaint is that it feels a bit thicker than some competitors, but the build quality feels durable so I can overlook it.

Reliable for mobile use

Easy setup on Mac and PC

Good value for 2TB
For the price, you really can't beat the storage space. The included backup software is basic but functional. Would buy again.
Q: Can I use this to expand storage for my PS5?
A: This drive can be used to store and play PS4 games on your PS5, or to archive PS5 games. However, you cannot directly play PS5 games from an external USB HDD; they must be moved to the internal SSD to play.
Q: Does it come with a USB-C cable?
A: The package typically includes a USB 3.0 Micro-B to Type-A cable. If your computer only has USB-C ports, you may need to use your existing USB-C to USB-A adapter or purchase a separate cable.
Q: What happens if I forget my password?
A: For security reasons, there is no backdoor to recover data if the password is lost. We recommend storing your password in a secure password manager. Resetting the drive will erase all data.
Q: Does this drive work with iPhone or iPad?
A: Yes, but you will need a Lightning to USB or USB-C to USB adapter depending on your device model. The drive itself is bus-powered and does not require an external power source.
Q: Is the encryption software compatible with macOS?
A: Yes, WD Security software is available for both Windows and macOS. You can set a password to protect your files on either operating system.
