Easy cleanup and beautiful results
I was worried about staining my kitchen sink, but the dye washed off surfaces easily while staying permanent on the cotton fabric. The tie-dye patterns came out crisp and professional looking.

Perfect for our summer camp!
We used this kit for a group of 15 kids and the results were amazing. The colors are incredibly vibrant, especially the indigo shades. The instructions were clear enough for the children to follow with minimal supervision.

Fun family activity
My kids loved doing this on a rainy Saturday. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we needed to buy extra rubber bands, as the ones included ran out quickly for complex patterns.

Great pigment concentration
As advertised, the pigment is very concentrated. A little goes a long way. I only used half the packet for a large t-shirt and the color was deep and rich. Just make sure to wear the included gloves.

True Indigo Color
Finally found a DIY kit that produces a genuine indigo hue rather than a generic bright blue. The color fastness is excellent even after multiple washes.

Best educational tool for art class
I am an art teacher and this is the best kit I have found for teaching color theory and textile arts. The specialized wax resist technique works flawlessly with these dyes.
Q: Can these dyes be used on polyester blends?
A: These specialized pigments are formulated specifically for natural fibers like cotton, linen, and rayon. They will not bond effectively with polyester or synthetic blends.
Q: Is this product safe for children under 8 years old?
A: While the materials are non-toxic and ASTM certified, we recommend adult supervision for children under 8 due to the fine powder nature of the concentrated dye.
Q: How long do I need to let the dye set before washing?
A: For the deepest and most vibrant colors, we recommend letting the dyed items sit in a plastic bag for at least 6 hours, though leaving them for 24 hours yields the best results.
Q: Does this kit include the soda ash fixer, or do I need to buy it separately?
A: The kit includes a small packet of soda ash fixer sufficient for up to 5 garments. For larger projects, we recommend purchasing additional fixer separately to ensure color longevity.
Q: What is the shelf life of the dye powder once opened?
A: If stored in an airtight container in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, the opened dye powder remains effective for up to 2 years.
