Soft and effective
Unlike other shielding fabrics I have tried, this one is actually soft enough to wear next to skin if needed, though I use it for bag linings. The silver weave is consistent and high quality.

Perfect for DIY Wallet Liner
I used this fabric to line a leather wallet I was making. It is surprisingly soft and easy to sew despite the metallic content. My phone no longer connects to Bluetooth when inside the wallet, which gives me peace of mind.

Good quality, slightly stiff at first
The shielding seems effective based on my signal meter tests. The fabric was a bit stiff out of the roll but softened up after the first gentle wash. Great for making protective pouches.

Works as advertised
Tested it with an RFID scanner and it blocked the signal completely. The material is durable and doesn't fray easily when cut. Highly recommend for anyone concerned about data theft.

Excellent for travel bags
I lined my entire carry-on backpack with this material. It adds a nice layer of security against electronic pickpocketing. The diamond grid pattern looks professional on the inside too.

Great product, careful washing needed
The fabric works well for blocking signals. Just remember to follow the hand-wash instructions strictly; I accidentally put a scrap in the machine and it lost some conductivity.
Q: Is this fabric safe to touch directly?
A: Yes, the fabric is designed to be skin-safe. The conductive fibers are embedded within the polyester matrix, preventing direct contact with loose metal particles.
Q: How many layers do I need for complete signal blocking?
A: For most consumer applications like wallet linings or phone pouches, a single layer is sufficient to block standard RFID and GPS signals. For higher frequency attenuation, two layers may be preferred.
Q: Does this fabric block 5G signals?
A: Yes, the conductive silver fibers are effective at attenuating a wide range of radio frequencies, including those used by 4G and 5G networks, though effectiveness can vary based on the number of layers used.
Q: Will washing this ruin the shielding properties?
A: Proper care maintains the shielding properties. Please hand wash with mild detergent and hang dry. Avoid bleach, fabric softeners, and high heat from dryers or irons, as these can degrade the conductive fibers.
Q: Can I sew this with a standard home sewing machine?
A: Absolutely. We recommend using a universal or metal needle (size 90/14) and polyester thread. Go slowly to ensure smooth feeding through the machine.
