Great shielding, slightly stiff at first
The RFID blocking works exactly as advertised; my key fob doesn't work through the curtain anymore. The material was a bit stiff out of the package but softened up nicely after hanging it for a few days. Good value for the tech.

Innovative solution for urban living

Works well but requires careful handling
The shielding capability is real, tested with a signal meter. However, you have to be very careful when sewing or cutting it as the metal fibers can fray if you aren't gentle. Follow the care instructions strictly.

Solid product for specific needs
Bought this to shield a server rack window in our small office. It does the job of blocking external magnetic interference and keeps the room bright. Deducting one star only because it's a bit pricey compared to normal fabrics.

Perfect balance of light and privacy
I was skeptical about how much light would get through, but this fabric is amazing. It blocks my neighbor's Wi-Fi signal from interfering with my home office setup while still letting in plenty of natural sunlight. The silver sheen looks modern too.
Q: Can I sew this fabric using a standard home sewing machine?
A: Yes, you can use a standard machine, but we recommend using a fresh needle designed for metallic or heavy-duty fabrics and sewing at a slower speed to prevent skipping stitches or damaging the conductive fibers.
Q: Will this block 5G signals as well as 4G and Wi-Fi?
A: Yes, the mesh aperture size and conductive material composition are effective against a broad spectrum including 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi (2.4GHz and 5GHz), and Bluetooth frequencies.
Q: What is the actual visibility percentage through this mesh?
A: The fabric offers approximately 60% light transmission. You can clearly see shapes and light changes outside, but fine details are slightly obscured, providing a degree of visual privacy during the day.
Q: Is the fabric fire retardant?
A: The base material has standard resistance, but because it contains metal fibers, it does not melt like synthetic plastics. However, it is not certified as a specialized fire-retardant curtain for commercial buildings.
Q: Does washing this fabric reduce its shielding effectiveness over time?
A: As long as you follow the care instructions (hand wash cold, no bleach, no dryer), the shielding properties remain stable. Aggressive washing or high heat can degrade the silver fiber coating.
